Gracewinds fitness and yoga classes are designed for the needs of women during the childbearing years. Our staff are specially trained in the issues revolving around prenatal and postnatal care. The goal of the Gracewinds fitness program is to offer women high quality classes, as well as opportunities for social and personal growth. Whether you are prenatal or postpartum, and looking for weight loss or strengthening classes, we offer what you need when you need it!
Release forms must be signed prior to participation in any of the fitness and yoga classes. Allow 5-10 minutes before class to sign in and set up. Wear comfortable and non-binding clothing, and no perfume please. Mats, blankets, belts, weights and balls are provided. Please bring your own block or bolster if desired. Prenatal Yoga Classes

Yoga at Gracewinds is an opportunity for women to experience support from a community that understands and honors the changes that occur in pregnancy, early parenthood and beyond. Our small classes allow instructors to provide individual attention for each student. We allow and encourage time to share experiences and discuss issues during each class period. Our classes are designed so that newcomers may participate in the sessions with little or no prior yoga experience. A community of support at Gracewinds means that everyone feels involved, connected and nurtured.
Strengthen body and spirit and find fellowship with other mothers-to-be. Our prenatal class is designed specifically for pregnant clients. No previous yoga experience is required to participate. Prenatal yoga provides a wonderful source of relief from common pregnancy discomforts such as back pain, muscle tension and heartburn. Using breath and gentle stretches, this class helps to prepare for the challenges of labor and to support personal transformation and connection to baby.
Cost: All classes cost $110 for an 8-class punch card, $60 for a 4-class punch card, or $15 per class drop-in fee.

Prenatal & Postnatal (with babies) Exercise Clases
Strengthen & Stretch classes to meet the needs of pregnancy and new moms. Low impact, pilates based, strenthen core and postural muscles.
Cost: Classes will run in monthly series. Cost $60 for one monthly series. Pre-registration is required minimum 4 participants to hold series.

Moms in the Zone

Exercising can improve fatigue and lessen the risk of postpartum depression. It is the best way to regain pre-pregnancy muscle tone and with proper nutrition, it can be the most efficient method for weight loss. Gracewinds postpartum classes are designed to meet the physical requirements of new mothers and are specifically tailored to strengthen the muscles of the abdomen and pelvic floor, as well as the core muscles necessary to regain overall fitness. Our personal trainers specialize in postnatal conditioning and draw upon experience as women’s health & fitness coaches to guide new moms through an effective training program.
Moms in the Zone is an indoor/outdoor (weather permitting) class designed for all fitness levels that will tone and strengthen your entire body. When outdoors, enjoy Seattle’s beautiful weather while you work out with other new moms. No need for a babysitter! Just bring the little one along to play and have some fun while making friends and getting in shape. All you need is a sturdy stroller, diapering items, food for babies/toddlers, and lots of water. When indoors, the class will meet at the Gracewinds studio. Bring your baby and work out to music with other moms and babies. In both environments babies will love to watch your movement and participate in the exercises.
All Gracewinds fitness trainers are certified by the American College of Sports Medicine.
